Mr. Johnson grew up in the USD 480 school system, graduating from LHS in May 2005. After graduating from LHS, he attended college at Dodge City Community College for two years, then transferred to Radford University in the Fall of 2008. He graduated from Radford University in the Spring of 2012 with a Bachelors Degree in Instrumental Music Education, becoming licensed in Instrumental Music Education in grades PreK-12 in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Mr. Johnson is currently attending graduate school during his summers at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, anticipating a Master of Music degree conferral in August of 2017.

Mr. Johnson is unmarried, with no children. He does, however, have one dog. Her name is Bella, and she is just over a year old as of August of 2015.
Mr. Johnson's first love is music. However, when he is not teaching or performing, he can often be found bowling. Mr. Johnson has many perfect 300 games, and one 800 series (3-game total). He is excited to be back at the bowling center where he learned how to bowl!
